These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Alex Shibata, who runs Lineup Plan (“we”, “us”). They cover your use of lineupplan.com and the Lineup Plan app (the “Service”). Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle information.
By creating a team, opening a team or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
To create a team you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and a coach, manager or other adult allowed to plan for that team. A younger helper, 13 or older, may edit a team only with the permission of its adult coach, who stays responsible for the team. By entering information about players, you confirm you’re allowed to do so for your team. Anyone can view a team through a link its coach shares with them; the rules in section 5 apply to them too.
Lineup Plan is free. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Donations through Ko-fi are voluntary, don’t buy any feature or level of service, and are handled by Ko-fi under its own terms. We may add, change or remove features at any time. If we ever offer paid features, they will be optional and come with clear terms first; we will never charge you without your agreement.
Lineup Plan is a planning tool. You, the coach, are responsible for your lineups, playing time, player safety, and following your league’s rules.
The pitch-count limits, rest days and rules card in the app are a planning aid only. They are based on our reading of Little League® regular-season rules, may be incomplete, out of date or different from your league’s or tournament’s rules, and they don’t count pitches during a game. Your league’s rules, its officials and its official pitch count record always govern. Check them before every game. We are not responsible for eligibility rulings, forfeits, injuries or other results of lineup, pitching or catching decisions.
There are no accounts. Your team code works like a password: anyone who has it can open and change your team. Share links contain the code today, so treat them the same way. You’re responsible for keeping your code and links private and sharing them only with your coaching staff and your team’s families. We can’t tell who made a change, and we aren’t responsible for changes made by anyone using your code or link. If you think your code has gotten out, contact us and we’ll help.
Use the Service only to plan games for teams you coach or help run, or to view a team whose coach shared it with you. Don’t:
If you find a security problem, please tell us at info@lineupplan.com instead of using it. We appreciate it.
You own what you enter: rosters, lineups, notes and everything else (“your content”). You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, back up, display and transmit your content only as needed to run the Service for you, for example to save it, print it, and show it to anyone who opens your team with its code or share link. This license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except for backup copies until they expire on their normal schedule. You’re responsible for your content and confirm you’re allowed to enter it.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
The Service itself, including its software, design, text, logo and the Lineup Plan name, belongs to us. You may freely print and share game cards, PDFs and screenshots of your own team’s plans.
You can stop using Lineup Plan at any time and ask us to delete your team, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or delete a team, or block access to the Service, if it is used in a way that breaks these Terms, puts others at risk, or if the law requires it. We may delete inactive teams as described in the Privacy Policy. We may change or stop the Service. If we plan to shut it down, we’ll try to give at least 30 days’ notice on the site (and by email to coaches who gave us one) so you can print or save your plans.
Sections that by their nature should continue after these Terms end (including sections 6, 8, 9, 11 and 13) will continue.
We work hard to keep Lineup Plan useful and reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free or secure, that your data will never be lost, or that the rules information is accurate, complete or current. Keep a printed or PDF copy of anything you need on game day.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO US$50.
Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
We may update these Terms. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. For material changes, we’ll give notice on the site (and by email to coaches who gave us one) at least 14 days before they take effect. Changes apply going forward only. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, the updated Terms apply; if you don’t agree, stop using the Service and ask us to delete your team.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to those courts. Either of us may instead bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
Little League® is a registered trademark of Little League Baseball, Incorporated. Lineup Plan is not affiliated with or endorsed by Little League Baseball, Incorporated.
Other league and organization names belong to their owners and are used only to describe which rules the app’s planning aid is based on.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to. You may not transfer these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer them to whoever takes over the Service (for example, a company formed to run Lineup Plan), and we will post a notice if we do.
